unexpected character

Two days ago while watching an exhibition at the Tate Modern with friend of mine, I met a very interesting woman. She looked stunning, very particular as a friend of my would say. I could not resist and I asked  her if I could take a picture. As I found out later Dorretta Carter is an amazing soul and blues singer.

rubbish collector

My boyfriend Valerio calls me a rubbish collector as I like to keep and collect everything that I find interesting. I have so many different kinds of things like postcards, pencils, boxes, magazines, books, jewellery etc. . I decided to look inside the dusty boxes ( I haven't done that for a long time) and I came up with the idea of photographing and reusing them.

So let's start with postcards. I have about 500 different, from England, Spain, Italy, Poland etc.. full box, mostly bought or found by me in galleries, museums or bars. I love them , they all unique. I managed to do only one photo of them so far because of a bad light and because Valerio hide somewhere my memory card. Maybe I am  a rubbish collector but he is definitely messy.

I found a great blog !  LONDON SHOP FRONTS  made by Emily Webber who Loves to explore London on her green vintage Vespa and taking pictures to the encountered shops. Colourful, comic, I love the aesthetics.

Things that I've seen this week

THE LITTLE BLACK JACKET AT SAATCHI GALLERY 
CHANEL's photographic exhibition dedicated to Karl Lagerfeld's latest book " Little black jacket" will stay open till the 4th of the November , so only 2 more days !!! Very interesting show with more than 100 photographs exposed in a sophisticated, gloomy atmosphere.
